Welcome back from Spring Break. I hope that everyone had a restful and relaxing time away from school. We are now officially entering the final phase of the 2022-23 school year. Take some time to have a conversation with your student and set some goals on how to end the year on a high note. Seniors, make sure you take care of your in class responsibilities AND review the information in the Senior HUB located in this newsletter.
The 4th quarter is filled with lots of fun and it will go fast!! Let's have a great final quarter.

Important Dates
March 28: PLSD PTO scholarship application deadline (see details in the newsletter below)
April 4 & April 5: ELA II OST test (mark your calendars, more information to come)
April 7 & April 10: No School.
April 14 & 15: Alg I & Geometry OST tests (mark your calendars, more information to come)
April 18: Biology OST test (mark your calendars, more information to come)
April 19: American History & Am. Government OST test (mark your calendars, more information to come)
April 26: Class of 2023 Distinguished Scholar Awards ceremony (by invitation)
April 29: 7:30-11:00 p.m. Prom @ The Wigwam; 11:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m. After-Prom at Rule 3 (tickets will go on sale starting April 5 for both events)

College Credit Plus Update: Important Deadlines Included in this message
Students taking College Credit Plus courses next year MUST meet application deadlines and qualify to take the classes. Please contact your school counselor with questions about taking College Credit Plus.
1) A new declaration of intent is required annually. It is available online at this link. The deadline for this form is April 3rd.
2) Students will need to apply to the primary college partner, MTC, by April 3rd. The application is available at this link.
3) Some of our courses (listed below) require a placement test score. This process was different during the pandemic, but is returning to the Accuplacer for next year's courses. Students taking College Credit Plus need to monitor their PLSD email accounts for important updates and communication from Mr. Sabetta (PLSD CCP Coordinator).
4) The Accuplacer requires students to have an account with the college.
5) CCP Information night is February 8th at 6:30pm in the PAC at North.
Courses with placement requirements:
Comp 1 - Accuplacer Writing
Comp 2 - Credit in Comp 1
Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics - Accuplacer Math
All others require a 3.0 unweighted GPA for "placement".
Prom Tickets go on Sale Starting April 5

Pickerington PTO Scholarship Program is Open for Applications
The joint PTO Scholarship has been in existence even before 1989.
The scholarship is open to any graduating Pickerington student (PHSC, PHSN, Alternative including those who go to Fairfield Career Center) who will be seeking ANY post secondary schooling (college, university, technical…).
Application Deadline: March 28
Representative Meetings: April 4 AND 18.
Students can find out more information in Naviance and the School Counseling office.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Here is the link to the recording of the National Student Reporter Info Session.
As a reminder, applications will close on April 12 and we will be notifying the winner (our regional nominee) by email on April 17.
- Please review the guidelines and award application on the Awards page of the Marquee site.
- Student Reporters who are selected to come to the Jimmy Awards will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID in compliance with Juilliard’s requirement.
- They may use other people in your videos.
- Their video must include a 20-second unedited segment with a direct address to the camera.
