The 1800's
Brian Williams Dejah Durdeen
The 1800's was a very complex and depressing time for the Native Americans. Life as they knew it was basically over. The Europeans found gold on the Native territory and they immediatley wanted them gone. Europeans demaned that something be done. This caused the Indian Removal Act of 1830 , which was signed by Andrew Jackson , the President at the time. This act forced ALL Native Americans to move to the Western territories. This caused the Trail of Tears. They had to walk all they to Oklahoma which was about 700-800 miles away from Georgia . They had little to barely any food , and some freezed to death .
