Sprague School

Second-graders will be visiting the Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Station No. 53 in early October. Families need to pay $1.75 to cover the cost of transportation. The field trip on October 17, and October 26, is part of students' social studies unit on communities. Students will learn about the importance of a fire station and firefighters in our community and they will review fire safety concepts learned in first grade. They will also tour the fire house.

You will need your child's student ID in order to register. You can find this on PowerSchool next to your child's name, where it says GRADES AND ATTENDANCE.

In this virtual presentation, parents will hear from Dr. Rebecca Isbell, an internationally renowned educator & speaker on how play can be utilized to help advance learning for children. We will also be joined by Ms. Ann Hofmeier, principal at Sprague School, who will reflect on how teachers at Sprague use play daily to promote educational concepts in their classrooms.
