Form For Learners NOT Returning to CISD Next School Year
Students not Coming Back for 2020-2021
We would like to know if your child is not returning to Coppell ISD for the 2020-2021 school year. Please fill out this form at https://forms.gle/VonAuoNN72zg6tvq8 to let us know your future plans. The form will need to be filled out separately for each child in your family not returning to the district. This does not need to be filled out for graduating seniors. If you have students at other campuses who will not be returning, you will receive an e-mail from those campuses with their form links.
We would ask that you complete the form by May 15, 2020 so that we can provide further guidance on returning district devices and other items.
We understand that you already may have let us know your child will not be returning, but we need to gather additional information about your plans at this time.
Thank you for understanding,

Please include the location where the item can be found.
If you pull into the drive please park right in front of the doors so we are more likely to see you. If no one comes out, please call 214-496-5900. We may not answer the phone (to prevent multiple of us from touching the same phone), but your ringing will alert us to check the front drive.
General Instructions: You will pull into the front drive of the school, stay in your car, and we will come out to you to collect items. If you have items in a trunk or back seat, just let us know and we will grab them from there. You can also hand items out a window. Our staff will be wearing gloves and a mask.

Other End of Year Items FAQ
As additional questions pop up, I wanted to have a place that can provide you quick answers. If you do not see an answer to your question here, please email Ms. Batik with a "please add to your FAQ."
A: Yes, it will be online the night of our original Senior Dinner Date: May 13th
Q: Will we have an undergraduate awards ceremony?
A: Yes, it will be online. Date is TBD
Q: Will learners be able to return books and other checked out items?
A: Yes, we will likely have drop off times during the last week of school, with makeup times in mid-June. We will send the item drop off schedule the prior week based on when we have staff available at the school.
Q: Will there be a graduation?
(previously published in CISD Informed): In light of the unknown and ever changing timeline for social distancing and school closures, Coppell ISD has made the difficult decision to move the graduation ceremonies for Coppell High School and New Tech @ Coppell online. Additionally, we will look for a date in the summer to hold an in-person graduation at new venues, if possible. Both Coppell High School and New Tech High @ Coppell will honor and celebrate their seniors through virtual graduation ceremonies on their original dates. Specific details about the online events will be shared closer to the date, including if these dates need to be adjusted.

Yearbooks- updated*
- Seniors will receive their yearbooks when they do final packet pickup. We have a pickup time the 2nd of week of June where you get your official diploma, final transcript, etc. You will get your yearbooks when we do that.
- Underclasspersons: you will receive your yearbooks when we come back to school. We will have a signing event as a part of a FLEX Friday to recreate what we would have done if we had all been together at the end of this school year.
Summer Enrichment through Harvard University
Grading
- Learner marginally failed the 3rd 9 weeks but passes the 4th 9 weeks- grading committee could determine that the learner earned a 70 for the semester.
- Learner passed the 3rd 9 weeks but failed the 4th 9 weeks- the grading committee could determine that the learner has lost credit for the semester and would get a grade below a 70.
If your child is in danger of losing credit or has the opportunity to reach a 70, the facilitator will be communicating that to you directly.

Facilitator Office Hours and General Reminders
Please remember:
- Facilitators can't have one on one direct message conversations with you. Please use the group discussion method they share with you. As always, if you have an individual question, you can use email to communicate with your facilitator.
- Facilitators are navigating this tricky world just like you are. Many of us have children that we are also having to provide school to while we are working. The word for this week and for probably every week like this is: GRACE. Remember we are all doing the best we can and we will do the same for you!
- Remember everything you type or say on video can be viewed by anyone and all communication needs to be in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
- Communicate, communicate, communicate. If you run into any issues, please let your facilitator know so they can help you navigate them.
PE, Athletics, and Band
If you have CHS or CHS9 Educators, they will be sharing lessons with you in schoology. Information on how to get into those accounts is in the district resources document below.

NTH@C College Board and ACT Testing Accommodations
Application Process and Forms
A student with a documented disability may be eligible for accommodations on College Board tests (SAT, SAT Subject Tests, PSAT, and AP exams) and the ACT. The school does not automatically apply for students to receive accommodations, but will assist families once the request is made to begin the process of applying for accommodations if their child is eligible for Section 504 or SPED. Parents should initiate the process by visiting our information page located on the New Tech High Website, under Announcements:
If you have any questions regarding testing accommodations, please contact Ms. Shaikh, Assistant Principal at rshaikh@coppellisd.com.
