February Third Grade Newsletter
A Note From the Teachers
February brings us to the start of the 3rd nine weeks! We are so proud of all our students who met their goals on mid-year MAP testing and improving their reading levels. We will continue to work with students on good test taking strategies and how to be better readers as we get another month closer to SOL testing in May
To help prepare students for SOL testing please have them read at least 20 minutes a night and work on their multiplication facts. We will also be hosting another SOL Information night at the end of the month. This night will focus on Math curriculum and strategies for helping your student.
There is a lot going on at Chimborazo this month so please keep an eye out in Tuesday folders for flyers for upcoming events such as the Chimborazo Dance, a Black History month program, and more. Also Valentines Day is on Thursday the 14th, students are welcome to bring in cards for their classmates if they wish, class lists will go home.
We can't thank you enough for all your support. Again, please let us know if you need anything.
Sincerely,
The Third Grade Team
Mrs. Wozniak, Ms. Boyd, Ms. Kilgore, Ms. Dietz, Mrs. Smith, Dr. Shelton
