Hearts Aflame For the Love of Christ
Moving Along with Mrs. Maddox
We hope things have slowed down a bit for your family. Hopefully your children have had the opportunity to step away from technology, at least for a little while. Mrs. Pigott and I are holding down the fort anxiously anticipating a fresh start in August. There are many things to do over the summer to prepare for the return of 400 students. This summer especially we are doing everything we can do to help get our building ready, order the right supplies, and help our teachers prepare for the upcoming school year. I know there are many mixed messages floating around regarding the start of school, but honestly we are planning to be back at school together. We want you to know that no final decisions have been made. Currently all sources and agencies are collaborating and researching ways to help schools reopen in a safe healthy capacity. The Archdiocesan School Office will be sending out their recommendations in mid June, and we have been told the Kansas State Department of Education will be making their final recommendations in mid July. You can feel comfortable knowing St. Joseph is going to do anything and everything possible to have everyone back in school together on a daily basis. We miss our kids!!!
We would like to welcome Ms. Melissa Eckler to our faculty. She will be joining our 3rd grade team and comes to us with a rich background in both Catholic, public, and online education. We are blessed to have her on our team, and we look forward to introducing her to you very soon. Congratulations to our 2nd graders who will be making their First Holy Communion on June 6th and June 13th. We are so proud of your hard work and preparation. What a special time this is in your life, God bless you during this very sacred Sacrament.
Stay safe, enjoy the sun, and let us know if we can help your family in any way. Have a blessed and rejuvenating June!
With a Grateful Heart,
Jodie Maddox, Principal, St. Joseph School

May God continue to bless your ministry,

Update from Dennis Uniform
As the clouds of uncertainty begin to part, we’d like to share with you how we are preparing to safely and thoughtfully serve your families this Summer. It is safe to say that uniform shopping will be a little different than past years. Our goal is to continue to deliver best in class service while simultaneously providing a safe shopping experience and environment for our customers and front-line employees.
We have developed a three-phase approach to ensure: (i) Parents feel safe shopping; (ii) Our employees feel safe and confident serving customers; and (iii) Students are in uniform on the first day of school.
Phase 1: E-commerce Only. All stores remain closed to customer foot traffic. Present Day to June 15
· We are anticipating a natural and substantial “shift” to online shopping. In preparation for this shift, we have made the following enhancements to our digital shopping experience: a refreshed customer interface, live chat and new “easy to use” tools to help select the “right fit and size”.
· All on Campus School Selling events are cancelled.
Phase 2: E-commerce with Curbside Pickup. June 15 until safe to open our stores to customer foot traffic
· Stores remain closed to customer foot traffic, but open for curbside pickup.
· Virtual Fitting Appointments prioritized for New students.
· All on Campus Selling events remain cancelled.
Phase 3: Stores open. When Safe to open to customer foot traffic (State and City specific)
Some of the planned changes to our normal store operations will include:
· Modified hours of operation to ensure enhanced cleanliness and safe social distancing
· Reduction of fitting rooms
· Keeping tried-on/returned merchandise off the sales floor longer than normal
· Health screenings for employees
· Providing face coverings for employees and recommending that customers wear a face covering when shopping.
To support our three-phase approach, we have added additional phone lines, staff, and extended hours to our Portland-based National Customer Service Team. We will be ready to answer questions and process an anticipated increase in phone orders and inquiries.
We thank you for your partnership, support and understanding.
Please stay safe and healthy.

Happy Hearts Working Golf Tournament
This year HHW is hosting its 2nd annual Golf Tourney at Dub’s Dread Golf Club in KCK on June 26th @ 1:00 PM. Last year we had a lot of Sponsors and around 85 Golfers and we were looking to extend that invite to the St. Joseph Community. This is a fantastic tourney with golfers having the opportunity to see what HHW is all about. We have the associates on the course, fun games to compete in while golfing, a great raffle, and a lunch and dinner. Social distancing and all rules will be followed under Dub’s Dread guidelines, however they are already at 2 people per cart. The sit down dinner and end of tourney presentation is pending.
