Hello Scarborough Middle School Families,
Parent teacher conferences are underway, and there is still an opportunity for you to sign up! Conference Manager is currently live for conference scheduling, times are available through March 19. Please see the attached letter for more information on SMS Conferences.
We have also included a Parent Conference Slidedeck that includes instructions on how to access the Google Meet during your assigned conference time. If after watching the Parent Conference Slidedeck you have additional questions about how to join a conference, please email Holly Graffam, our Technology Instructional Coach, at hgraffam@scarboroughschools.org.

Here is a link to the Student Advocacy Google Classroom for March. This month's theme is Mindfulness. You will find a number of videos about living a mindful life and a couple of meditations to try on your own.
We hope that you find some strategies and ideas to make your lives more peaceful! As always, we are here as a resource for you and your child. Please feel free to reach out at any time.
Have a Mindful March,
Michelle Grant

Ali helped connect our current curriculum study of Earth's water cycle to our own Maine watersheds with an interactive virtual lesson with each group of students. We were able to follow up the following day by investigating Scarborough's own watershed map and comparing that information with our own experiences and recent classwork.
It was really cool to make connections between what we do in class and what we see in our hometown every day!

Good morning 8th Grade Families,
Last night Scarborough High School hosted virtually the 8th Grade Family Step Up Night.
Included here is a folder of materials from the evening. It includes a recording of the presentation, the slidedeck used in the presentation, a recorded building tour produced by SHS students, a pre-recorded Q&A session with current 9th graders who responded to questions solicited from the 8th graders, and a contact list for commonly used SHS Supports.
We thank those of you who were able to attend and hope you and your child find these materials helpful as you start to transition to the HS.
Thank you!
