*IMPORTANT* Enrollment and Registration for VIRTUAL Learning for 2021-2022 School Year
All Deer Creek students who have completed the online registration process will automatically be enrolled in the traditional five day a week learning pathway for the 2021-2022 school year. Those interested in the full virtual learning pathway should complete the Virtual Learning Pathway Application (due April 16, 2021) and continue through the qualification process.
Completing the application does not guarantee acceptance into the virtual program.
Applications for the 2021-2022 Virtual Learning Pathway for K-12 students are now open!
Applications due on April 16, 2021
The Deer Creek School District is honored to provide a virtual learning pathway for the 2021-2022 school year to Deer Creek students in grades K-12. Please carefully read the highlights and FAQs shown below before submitting the application, as changes to the program and protocols have been made for the upcoming school year in an effort to better serve our students.
Highlights:
All students wishing to apply for the virtual learning pathway for next year must complete an application. Filling out an application is the first step in the process and does not guarantee acceptance.
Enrollment in the virtual learning pathway will occur for qualifying students after an intake meeting with school personnel, parents and students.
Virtual learning is offered to students beginning in Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Virtual student progress will be monitored by Deer Creek teachers.
A semester commitment is required for the K-12 virtual learning pathway. The fall semester = August -- December and the spring semester is Jan -- May. Learning pathway changes are not possible once the semester has started.
Regular participation is required. Non-participation will result in recorded absences and lead to students being required to come for in-person learning at Deer Creek Academy.
The blended learning option will only be available for students in grades 9-12.
ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR 21-22 SCHOOL YEAR

Will I be able to choose my child’s team? Can I change my child’s team?
Unfortunately, you will not be able to choose your child’s team. We will be serving approximately 1,200 students at the Deer Creek 4th and 5th Grade Center next year. It is nearly impossible to accommodate all 1,200 families. With that being said, we have AMAZING teachers and staff members that are ready to serve your children!
Our counseling and administrative team hand schedules all 1,200 students. This is an exciting time for students to come together from all elementary sites and make friends with students throughout the district!
Will my child be able to be on a team with students from their original elementary school?
It is likely that a student will be on a team or in a class with someone from their elementary school. We do not select classes based on friend groups or previous classes. There is not a guarantee that your child will be in classes or on a team with their friends. This is a great opportunity for your child to meet new friends!
Will my child have more than one teacher?
Our students in 4th grade will rotate between a team of four teachers; reading, math, social studies/science, and composition.
Our students in 5th grade will continue to rotate between five teachers; Literature, Composition, Math, Science, Social Studies. There will be no “passing time” in between classes. There are also no lockers. Students will have their own cubby in their homeroom teachers’ class to store their belongings.
