Leonardo da Vinci, Michealangeo, Donatello, and Raphael contributed many works of art like Mona Lisa, The Sistine Chapel, David, and the School of Athens. Leonardo da Vinci's : Mona Lisa
Here is the Mona Lisa,
I chose this picture because the symmetry in the piece of art caught my attention. This is one of Leonardo da Vinci's most famous paintings.
Michelangeo's : Sistine Chapel
Michelangelo's "Sistine Chapel" has a religious point of view. In this painting there are the nine scenes of the book of Genesis. Which is very interesting to me and catches my attention.
Donatello's : David
This picture shows the younger version out of the David sculptures. Which is interesting because David is standing on Goliath's head after her killed him. In addition, this picture interests me because it show a form of like confidence and heroism.
How did the change impact society at the time?
The change in society of the Renaissance was impacted very much. During this time, there was the astronomy, Greek and Roman culture, politically, through art, and science. All of these subjects right here made the Renaissance flourish so much. Including, without any of this the Renaissance wouldn't have flourished and there probably wouldn't have been a Renaissance at all.
How is that change evidenced in today's modern society?
There are similarities in the Renaissance has and modern society was influenced by them. Modern society in America was influenced by the architecture; the form of columns are still used today; for example, the White House. Next, the Renaissance's humanism was borrowed as well for religious reasons against the church. Also, the religion from the Renaissance made people in modern society in America turn to some of their religions. The Renaissance influenced a lot of people in today's modern society, which made them recycle some of their things.
