News from JC's Assistant Principal
EARLY SPRING? NOT SO MUCH...
February was a busy month here at JC, and March promises to be just as full! We just had our fabulous Inquiry Night - which many of you were able to attend. It was so much fun to "play" and learn together! Coming up we have Bingo Night, a Mad Science assembly, and so many more things for our students to enjoy!
SECOND MARKING PERIOD REPORT CARDS
You will notice that some grades on your child's report card may have a # next to them. This indicates that the content for this standard is modified based on decisions made at your child's most recent Annual Review. The grade reflects your child's achievement on the modified curriculum standards. If there is no #, your child is receiving instruction in grade level content for that standard and progress is measured against the grade level standard. It is always our aim to provide as much grade-level content to our students as possible in a way that is accessible. If you have questions about these modified standards, please reach out to your child's case monitor.
Along with your child's report card, you will receive progress reports from your child's special education case monitor detailing progress made during this marking period on his/her IEP goals and objectives. Should you have any questions regarding this information, please reach out to your child's case monitor. The team is always happy to address any questions or concerns you might have.
