New this year! To create the most efficient and accurate bus routes as possible, we are requiring ALL Families to complete the transportation request form in Aspen even if they do not need a bus. In the past, we did not require the form completion for the K-5 Eligible families - K-5 students were automatically provided a seat and bus stop if they lived 2 miles outside of their assigned school. 5th grade IB PYP Exhibition Day- Wednesday June 16th!!!
At International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) schools around the world, students in 5th grade do a final inquiry project called the PYP Exhibition where they research and take action to share what they learn with their community.
This year, the PYP Exhibition projects are an inquiry into environmental challenges of ecosystems around the world. 5th graders have been meeting virtually in small groups with a mentor every Friday to support their learning. In these small groups, they have been researching, reflecting, creating art, and taking action.
Next Wednesday, June 16th, is virtual PYP Exhibition Day when 5th grade students will share their PYP Exhibition group projects on Google Meet! There are 36 small groups of students who will each be presenting their creative and informational projects throughout the day. Through their 5 minute presentations, students hope to inspire their audience to take action and to be part of the solution for the environmental issue they researched.
The PYP Exhibition Day schedule and Google Meet link will be shared this week with 5th grade families, mentors, staff, and 4th grade classes who are invited to attend the virtual presentations next Wednesday.

Important reminder about attendance
To all Woodrow Wilson families with in person students:
We are delighted to have all our students who asked to return to school in-person daily in classes every day. We want to be perfectly clear about in-school attendance expectations. The only students who are allowed to be online from home are the students who informed us that they would remain remote through the end of the school year.
Students who are in person every day may not opt to be remote and must come to school for in-person learning every day for the entire day. It is also not permitted to come to school in person for part of the day and then be dismissed to finish the day remotely. All students who are in person learning should be physically present in school every day from 9:05 to 3:20. Please think of school attendance as you would during a normal school year. The only exception to this is if you have been told to quarantine by the school nurse.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Respectfully,
Purnima DeMorais, Principal
Darlene Pugnali, Vice-Principal

My MedBot app
MyMedBot (Attestation App)
MyMedBot is your ticket to school! MyMedBot is used to screen all FPS staff and students daily for potential COVID symptoms. Students, families, and staff must answer a series of COVID-19 related questions and based on the answers, the app will show a red screen, meaning you are not permitted to enter the school or a green screen, meaning you may enter the school. Please remember to complete MyMedBot everyday that your child is scheduled to attend school in-person.
COVID Call Center
Framingham Public Schools has launched a trilingual COVID Call Center to help families with the MyMedBot App questions. Families can reach the Call Center by email COVID@framingham.k12.ma.us or by calling (508) 782-6633. Call Center staff are available between 5:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday. Staff who have MyMedBot App questions should continue to reach out to the Help Desk.
COVID-19 Pooled testing for students
We encourage all of our students to participate in pooled testing! Free pooled testing will continue to be available weekly at school through the end of the school year for all students present for in-school learning. Although participation is voluntary, it is strongly encouraged. Our entire school community benefits when we can identify asymptomatic students with COVID-19 early and prevent the spread of the virus through the school community.
There are two options to complete the consent form:
Option 1 - NEW: Provide Consent for COVID-19 Pooled Testing online: Pool Testing Consent Form
Option 2: Complete the physical consent form (English, Spanish, Portuguese) and send it to our school nurse, Ms. Cowan, at school.
Have questions? CLICK HERE to learn more about Pooled Testing.
For additional information, please review the Framingham Public Schools COVID-19 Testing for Students Overview English, Spanish, Portuguese.

Wilson and JFS are teaming up to offer 15 Wilson students in Grades 3-5 enrichment in reading and math. Sessions last from 4:00-4:45pm on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays. There are still spots available- email hflugrad@framingham.k12.ma.us if you are interested in this opportunity for your child in grades 3-5.
Book Buddies

Math Mentors
Students and JFS mentors will play math games together designed to target fact fluency and working flexibly with numbers. They also may do engineering and math projects with basic materials at home.

P-EBT and SNAP Food funds
As students return to in-person learning, we wanted to share some important information about P-EBT and SNAP. Since P-EBT was created to replace school meals, students who return to in-person learning will not get P-EBT funds for the months that they are in school in-person.
Here are some important messages to share with families who got P-EBT and may be concerned about losing P-EBT funds as they return to in-person learning:
ALL kids can get free meals at school (P-EBT was created to replace school meals)
P-EBT will be available this summer - keep your cards!
You can still use your P-EBT money from previous months if you have it - previous funds don't go away!
Apply for SNAP and get the MAXIMUM dollar amount during COVID-19
We estimate that of the 360,000 students that got P-EBT cards in MA, up to half could be eligible for SNAP money but are not getting it.
Like P-EBT, SNAP is money for food. Given that it is now easier to apply and families can get the maximum amount during COVID-19 (up to $782 for a family of 4!) it is now more important than ever to encourage families to apply for SNAP.
