Gattis Gossip
Volume 7, Issue 31---------------------------April 27, 2015
Ah...MAZ...ing!!
We should give it up for the fabulous Kristal Shanahan and our efficient crew of hall monitors/potty hotties/ bathroom babes in the hall during STAAR testing!! Do you know how deadly boring it is to sit and watch the hall ALL DAY LONG?! And do you know how many steps are taken by those who provide bathroom breaks?!
Thank you to Angie Hintz, our fabulously calm and knowledgeable in-house online testing expert, along with our brave online testing pioneers - Lexey Krause, Marcy Pearson, Jennifer Moy and Roxanna Alvarez (aka Energizer Bunny)!!
Our test administrators did such a great job monitoring students and securing tests!!! No significant incidents of any kind!!
Our PPCD- 2nd grade classes were so quietly supportive that we hardly knew you were here!
Our specials teams kept kids quietly active and creative through those brain cycles!!
Karmela and her crew fed everyone all day!
Becky and her crew moved desks/tables and chairs to keep everyone comfortable!
Catherine and Delores served as air traffic control in the office!!
I can't say thank you enough!! You are TRULY AMAZING!

Partners in Education -- PLEASE UPDATE!
We are approaching spring deadlines to have all partners entered. Please be sure to enter volunteers and/donors. Check with LaWanda if you need assistance. : )
Please remember to use this link throughout the year to record any donors and partnerships. If you have guest speakers to your classroom or gradelevel, record the activity. Guest speakers would be recorded as partners rather than donors. Recording this information is an important piece of our accountability and allows our partners to be recognized for all they do for us.

Be Prepared!! - Review Emergency Protocols
This is the time of year that severe weather tends to occur in our area.
Be sure to review emergency protocols with your team to be prepared for any drills or actual crises. Make sure that materials are highly visible and easily accessible to substitutes. Team members should be aware of any substitutes present and make sure to provide support in case emergency protocols are needed for any reason.
