SAN DIEGO HAPPENINGS

Go Fund Me for Local PCA Family Experiencing Loss From COVID-19

We've lost one of our own to COVID-19. Please take a moment to view the Go Fund Me page for one of our Pacific Coast Academy families that has been struck with tremendous tragedy during this pandemic. Let's support this sweet family!

Virtual Museum of Art

Do you have an artist that would love to see their work online? Please share with us!

As we're all hunkered down, it's a great time to encourage our students with their creativity. We'd love to provide a place where we can all enjoy our Inspire student's artwork.

See the flyer below for all the details.

San Diego County Fair Digital School Tour Adventure

School tours bring the San Diego County Fair to your classroom! This free program is open to K-3 classes. In light of the uncertainty with school schedules, we decided to bring the School Tours Program and Activity Book to every child - no matter where they are.

Please join us on our first digital School Tours adventure featuring the superpowers of our special friends:

  • Jackson the Under Dog who will teach us his power of kindness
  • George the Python who will teach us his power of strength and stealth
  • Poppy the Super Sonic Hedgehog who will teach us his power
    of protection, smell, and might

Use our Activity Book filled with fun puzzles, coloring activities, and brain teasers. You can find the Reading Certificate Program on the last page which gives kids 12 and under a free ticket to the Fair upon completion.

If your students are working on a craft - anything from drawing to a collage - we'd love to see their "at home" creations on display at the Fair so please consider entering their work for the community to enjoy!

The same holds true for math. A strong foundation for future math learning in fractions, decimals, percents, proportions, word problems and algebra is built upon on how well students know their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts. Join our magnificent math support team to learn their successful math strategies.

Free Parent Resource Site

PCA, CPA and Mission Vista worked together to create this resource site for our families and for parents who are now faced with educating their own children at home. Enjoy!

Please feel free to share this resource with anyone who needs it!
