Meet the Padilla Staff!
Meet Preschool Teacher - Mrs. Sydney Brandon!
Hello, my name is Sydney Brandon. I am a proud Colorado native and grew up on my family's hay and cattle ranch in Westcliffe, Colorado, where I attended the same school K-12th grade. My husband and I moved to Denver three years ago so he could start his journey in medicine. He currently is attending medical school at the University of Colorado- Anschutz.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and a Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I also hold an endorsement in K-6th Elementary Education.
Through education, children are able to go beyond academics. I have a passion for inclusive education, teaching to the whole child, and building their knowledge in all areas of life. I am excited to be a part of Padilla Elementary alongside the students and families who make up this new school.
Meet Preschool Teacher - Mrs. Kimberly Torres!
Hello. My name is Kimberly Torres. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Colorado in June of 2017. I am married to my loving husband, and have a fun loving 7 year old daughter. I am also expecting another child, a baby girl, at the end of June and looking forward to expanding our family.
I am an Early Childhood teacher with a dual masters degree in both General and Special Education. I have been teaching for over 10 years and have taught as a second grade teacher in the NYC Public School System as well as preschool. I started teaching here in Colorado for district 27J in October 2017 at Bright Beginnings as an Early Childhood Special Education Preschool teacher. In 2018, I then was transferred to North Elementary where I have taught for about 3 years. I will now be one of the Early Childhood Special Education Preschool teacher's at Padilla.
I am so excited to be a part of the team at Padilla Elementary and share my values as an educator for young children.
Meet Preschool Group Leader - Ms. Yuliana Cintora!
Hello, my name is Yuliana Cintora and I go by Yuly. I was born in Mexico and raised in Colorado. I have 2 kids and love spending time with my family and friends.
I have been in 27J for the past 4 years and really enjoy being here. I will be a Group Leader for the preschool team. I am so excited to be a part of the Padilla family and get started with this great community.
Meet Preschool Group Leader - Mrs. Aundrea Gallegos!
Hello! My name is Aundrea Gallegos. I am a Colorado native and love everything Colorado has to offer. I have a coffee obsession and I have 2 kids who are 4 and 3. I love playing volleyball, hiking, camping, boating. Basically anything outdoors, I am all for!
I have been in the district for 4 years and am so excited to begin this new journey at Padilla Elementary. I love working with little preschoolers. It's the coolest thing to tell people that I teach children through playing. You build so much off of playing with them and learning with them. I am grateful to be in this position to help shape little minds. :)
