Ms. Whalen's class celebrating Valentine's Day
Ms. Tantardino's class celebrating Valentine's Day
Ms. Crowther's & Ms. White's class celebrating Valentine's Day
We appreciate your understanding this week when we had to cancel school on Wednesday. We we will be making up lost days to snow on Friday, April 12 (before our April break) and Friday, May 24 (before Memorial Day weekend). Please note, if we are operating school on normal start times. I will not send out a message so if you don't get a phone call, text or email, assume it's a normal school day at CES.
We are fortunate to be welcoming a presentation on the harmful effects of vaping for our 5th & 6th graders on March 5. We will be presenting to the 5th graders at 1:00, 6th graders at 1:45, and will even host a session for parents at 3:00. Additionally, there is a task force meeting in Quincy on Feb 20. We hope to encourage our students to avoid this increasingly popular habit among teenagers, and welcome our parents on February 20 and/or March 5.
In closing, we want to wish you and your family a safe and enjoyable break. We will look forward to welcoming back all of our students on Monday, February 25th!

Kindness Ninja Coming to CES Tuesday, February 26, 9:15 am!
We are SUPER EXCITED to announce that our school is going to be taking on a massive kindness challenge and its launching with an assembly on February 26 at 9:15 am in the CES gym . We’d love to invite our parents to join us!
THE CHALLENGE = KINDNESS EXPLOSION
The entire student body will be challenged to carry-out acts of kindness in the halls, classrooms, at home and throughout the community. Each student will receive a kindness challenge so don’t be shocked if you see a little more Kindness around the house .
Challenge #2 – Global Impact
During the assembly, students will hear stories, see pictures and watch videos of kids their own age in Kenya. But one big difference, is that these children have never worn a pair of shoes in their life! We are going to challenge the entire school to collect gently used sneakers that will be sent to needy children and families around the globe. So go throughout your closet to see if you have any sneakers you don’t wear anymore. (also ask your friends, family and neighbors!) Important – we are only collecting sneakers. Please don’t bring boots, flip-flops, slippers, etc.
To help us make an even bigger impact, we want to ask you to engage in conversation with your family about the subject of Kindness. Ask them about what they’ve done, acknowledge what they do, and encourage the simple life skill of Kindness.
