The CSPTO Pulse

Weekly Update for April 16, 2021

Spring Recycle Day - April 24

Spring cleaning? Have no fear! CSPTO and McCarthy Middle School PTO are partnering to help local families get rid of junk items that are not easily disposed of in the trash (appliances, furniture, lawn equipment, grills (no propane!), TVs, etc).

A great way to support our schools-- just drive through, donate a small fee and the PTOs will take your junk!

Have time to help work the event? We are still in need of a few volunteers. Sign up here.

Volunteers Needed to Help w/ Playground on April 22 at 9am

We need 6 volunteers to help spread mulch on the playground next Thursday morning at 9am. Please bring your own shovels. We'll have about 15 yards to spread over the main structure area. Please email PTO.Center@gmail.com if you can help. Thank you!

Calling All Members of Oz to help with Staff Appreciation Week

We all felt like we were in another world this year, but our teachers and staff made sure learning was still a magical experience for our children.

The week of May 3rd is Center School Staff Appreciation Week is our largest appreciation event of the year. This year's theme is a Wizard of Oz-style celebration: There's No Place Like Center. We are currently seeking donations of various food and party supplies to bring our celebration to life. Sign up to bring food or party supplies to bring this celebration to life.

Add a paper brick to our "Yellow Brick Road of Appreciation" lining the entrance to school, or write a "Thank You Sweetly" note to give to your teacher! Grab from the bin at school starting 4/16 or print your own. Return it to the bin at school any time, or drop it at 6 Hillcrest Drive between April 23rd-May 1st.

There's Still Time for Your Table of Plenty Donations

We are still aiming to get those cereal boxes to span from Kindergarten to 4th grade! Bring in those donations for Table of Plenty before the end of the month so we can see if we can make it happen. Keep in mind, any of the items below will be accepted, they just may not work as well for dominoes! Thanks so much for your generosity to our neighbors.

  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Pasta, Rice, Beans
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Peanut Butter & Jelly
  • Mac & Cheese
  • Canned Soup
  • Canned Tuna or Chicken
  • Snack Food

Donations can be dropped off out front of the school in the designated bin or sent in to school with your student. If you prefer to make a monetary donation directly to Table of Plenty, you can find their donate page here: http://tableofplentyinchelmsford.org/Pages/donate.html.
