Class Shopping Schedule

At this in-school event, students can purchase small gifts (most under $3) for the holiday season. Participation is optional, and all are given a chance to shop, regardless of if they have funds in hand. Items can be held and you can send in money for Open Shop later in the week.

Please note: Open Shop is for anyone that missed their designated classroom time, students with items on hold, or those who have permission from caregivers to shop for additional items. Parents are not allowed to shop with their child this year. Volunteers will be on hand to help students with their purchases. Fill out the Shopping Guide and send it in with your student!

We could still use some helping hands to keep the Gift Room stocked and organized. Sign up and help us make this unique experience amazing for every student.THANK YOU to our coordinators: Tiara Duff, Lora Stavolta and Ellen Ellis

Vote for School Council Parent Members

Center School, as required by law, has a school council composed of staff members, parents, and a member of the community, if one is available. There should be an equal number of parents and staff members, not including administrators. If there are more interested candidates than openings, the PTO holds an election so parents can choose their representatives.

The council works with school administrators to adopt educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, identify the educational needs of students attending the school,

review the annual school building budget, and formulate a school improvement plan.

We are fortunate to have two interested parents. Please click here to read their biographies and select one to serve on the council. Council members typically serve a three year term.

Enrichment Highlights

Pumpernickel Puppets visited our Kindergarten classrooms on Monday! For nearly forty years the Pumpernickel Puppets have captivated audiences of all ages with humorous and colorful adaptations of classic folk and fairy tales.

Annawon Weeden, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe, visited with 4th graders this past Tuesday and Wednesday to share the history and culture of his tribe. Students got a chance to make a Native American corn husk doll, which they got to take home.

All Saints' Episcopal Church is hosting a fun Gingerbread Village fundraiser to raise donations for St. Paul's Soup Kitchen in Lowell. You can register to create a Gingerbread House (no fee to enter) or just swing by and visit the final display for a small donation. Learn more on their website.

The PTO Needs a VP!

We are looking for a Vice President to join our awesome Board! This is a great way to give back to the students and staff of Center, gain valuable insight and visibility in the school, as well as provide your input regarding important decisions and activities at Center. Our VP oversees events and fundraisers, volunteer recruitment and serves as a backup to our co-Presidents. If this sounds like something you might be interested in or would like to know more about, PLEASE reach out to us at
