Eagle Rock Middle School Parent Newsletter
Week of August 29th, 2022
Message from the Principal:
Hey Eagle Rock Family,
We are coming off of an awesome first week of school with all of our students and staff back in the building. In the classroom teachers spent this first week building relationships with students and going over important policies and procedures for our school. We ended the week with an awesome school spirit assembly that was planned and carried out by our Hope Squad and Student Council students. It was a great success and a lot of fun.
This next week as we settle into our routine there are a few items that I wanted to quickly touch on.
- Cell Phones: We are not allowing cell phones to be out or used from the time your student arrives on campus to the time they leave. We ask that they keep them away and out sight while at school. We are fortunate to have 1:1 Chromebooks which students can use for all their technology needs in the classroom while at school. If you need to get a hold of your student please call our front office at 525-7700 and they will relay any message your have for your student. We also have a student phone that is available to all of our students to use. Please contact the school if you have any questions about our cell phone policy
- Student Drop-off and Pick-up: Last week went really well with our student drop-offs and pick-ups outside the front of our school. There are a few reminders I have that will help this go smoothly and make it a easy and safe process.
- Students may only be dropped off along the front sidewalk of the school.
- Please pull up as far as possible to allow those behind you to fill the space.
- If have business in the school during these times please park in a designated stall in our parking area.
- The east parking lot of the school is not for pick-ups or drop-offs and needs to be kept clear for busses.
- If time is a factor, consider dropping off students on Brentwood Drive to the north of the school.
Thank you for trusting us with the education of your students. Please be sure to scan through this newsletter for important upcoming events and activities.
All the best,
Ethan Wilford, M.Ed.
