ELAR
- Our middle of the year assessment window opened on Jan. 2 and will close on Jan. 31. Please make sure you have all data input into Aware by Jan. 31.
- Simulation Tests: The ELAR/SLAR Simulation is optional and is now available at the FISD Print Shop located at: Home > Catalog > ELAR > ELAR and SLAR Simulation Tests. *Please note that the writing simulation is for the revising and editing only. Student will write to the prompt, however it will not be a score-able item in Aware.
MATH
- All 2-5 grade Math teachers are being asked to administer ESTAR (grades 2-4) and MSTAR (5th grade) to 2nd-5th grade students. One person on your grade level administered in the Fall, and now everyone is being asked to do the Winter admin. The window opened January 9th and closes February 10th. Everyone will be asked to administer again in the Spring.
This is the Quick Start Teachers Guide. Please follow these instructions to make sure it is set up. Then schedule a computer lab time to take your students for the assessment.

- Ont he Math Simulation students are only assessed on what has been taught/learned.
ONLINE PD OPPORTUNITIES
Please take a look at the possibilities for you to get hours with online District offered courses. There are 6 hours offered to everyone (Cross-Curricular) and Math is offering 4 hour online pds. Science is also giving credit to 4th-5th grades for attending Collaboratives. These online courses will be offered until April 2, 2017. You will receive a certificate on the completion of the course.
