Ripon Cathedral School Update
Week ending Friday 21st July 2023
Key Stage 2 Production Kingdom Quest
Dear Parents and Carers
It has been another, busy, full, but most of all rewarding year at Ripon Cathedral School. The children in our Cathedral Family have been fantastic and they make everyday at Cathedral School a joy.
We have achieved a great deal this year through the hard work and dedication of an excellent staff team. Outcomes across all key stages compare well to national and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff who work hard to ensure that Cathedral School children are cared for and receive a high quality, rich education.
A huge thank you to the Friends of the School. As always, come rain or shine, they have continued with their sterling work. It has been lovely to have so many Friends' events and it is great that the Friends group continue to make a difference to the children at the school.
And finally… this week we said goodbye to our Year 6s. They have worked hard over the course of the year and were brilliant in our end of year production Kingdom Quest. I am sure that they will all continue to flourish as they move on to their secondary schools.
Have a wonderful, blessed, restful summer break. We look forward to seeing you in the autumn term.

Goodbye Mr Easby and Mr Gold
Mr Easby joined us over the summer to cover a long term staff absence and we are delighted that he has been able to stay and work all year with our fabulous Year 5 children. We are very grateful for the care, dedication and commitment that he has shown to ensure that all children who have been in his care have flourished. From September he will be teaching at Brompton School in Northallerton.
Mr Gold has been working at the school for the last 3 years. He has supported many children across the school and he has been a positive, enthusiastic, caring member of our staff team. We wish him every success as he moves on to a teaching position at Camblesforth Academy near Selby.
Thank you to Mrs Warrack and Mrs Stanton-Clemmett
Year 4 stall for happy hedgehogs
Year 4 had great fun setting up their stall at the end of the day on Monday. They asked for donations for their animal soap and wire sculptures so they could raise money for their chosen charity - H.A.P.P.Y Hedgehogs. They even baked some delicious cakes and created some healthier fruit snacks. They raised an amazing £75.79. Well done, Year 4! You did a fantastic job! We're sure it'll make the hedgehogs very happy!
