Welcome Back!!!
This is the first of several newsletters I will be sending out over the next few weeks. For now, I just want to get you used to looking for the newsletters, and to let you know of the events that will be happening in the next few days.
Of course the first big event is our Open House on Monday, August 19, at 5:30pm. We will start out with parents and kids meeting with teachers in the classrooms then at 6:00pm I will announce that it time to meet in the gym for a few collective words from me. Following that, our PTO will be sponsoring a hot dog roast (hopefully outside if the weather holds.) We plan on the evening coming to a close no later than 7:00pm in order to get everyone home, including teachers, for our big start up on Tuesday morning.
Just as a reminder, kids can get dropped off between 8:30 and 8:45 (7:30am if they are in the Boys and Girls Club). Breakfast is served at 8:30. At 8:45 our first bell rings and students are welcome to go their classrooms. Promptly at 9:00am, our tardy bell rings. Teachers take attendance and begin instruction by 9:00am.
We thought we would have enough kids for one more teacher this year, but we have just the right amount for one kindergarten class, two first grade classes, and one of every other grade level. Mrs. Blossom will be teaching Kindergarten, Mrs. Young and Mrs. Hopkins will be teaching 1st, Mrs. Bosick will be teaching 2nd grade, Ms Gossett 3rd, Mr. Michael 4th, Mr. Mills 5th, and Mrs. Werner will teach 6th.
There are many more items to report on but for now, I only want to welcome you back, thank you for letting us be a part of your children’s lives, and encourage you to attend the Open House.
See you soon!

A little company
She was in our back yard with two yearling cubs. I went to find a rope so I could put a saddle on her, but she left.
High and Dry
We went clamming a couple of times over on the West Side. Awesome clams!
Never get tired of it.
I am just amazed at the things we get to do for fun around here. I am so glad I moved here.
