Mondays From The Mesa # 28
Alta Mesa Parent Newsletter (2/1/21)
Hello February
Welcome to February! We start the second month of the new year coming off a week where our entire community was covered in snow. We were very fortunate that the damage to our community from this year's snow was minimal, and our school sustained none. As we start February we also transition to a new character emphasis at Alta Mesa. This month we are focused on the character trait of "honesty". I look forward to exploring this character trait with our students and staff. We will look for every opportunity to emphasize honesty throughout the month.
This week I am asking parents to please encourage the practice of wearing masks. Many of our students are still coming to school without masks. While we do have disposable masks for students, we do not have enough to continue to provide them to students who consistently do not bring one on a daily basis. The masks we have been allotted are for students who have accidentally forgotten theirs, or if a mask breaks. Please make sure to send your child to school with a mask every day.
February looks to be a great month! Remember we have a week off from Feb. 15th-19th for President's Week and Trimester 2 comes to a close on February 26th. Thank you for continuing to support Alta Mesa!
