How Do I Secure My Child's Slot for Immersion?
Congratulations and Welcome to the Cherry Park Family!! I hope you are doing well and staying healthy during this time. We are so excited to have you and your child join our school family. We will send lots of information to you to keep you informed as we prepare for this fall. Right now, we want to be sure you know how you can secure your child's slot for French or Spanish Immersion. 1. Be sure to respond to the District that you accepted a slot. You should have received confirmation from Dr. Holmes, our Director of School Choice, that your child got into our program. Once you received that email, you should have responded back that you accepted the slot. Currently, we are waiting to hear from 17 families. If you have questions for Dr. Homes, you can contact her here: mailto:schoolchoice@rhmail.org 2. Enroll your child for school. Your acceptance of the slot was only the first step. We need you next to enroll your child using the button below. Please take a look at the "Steps to Register and Enroll as a New Student" and gather the documents you need. Then, click on the green "Register Now" words at the bottom to register your child. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our registrar, Mrs. Jazmin Deyerle at her email: mailto:ldeyerle@rhmail.org She is more glad to assist you. You have secured your child's slot to attend Cherry Park when you have enrolled him or her. (80 of you have already done this and we so appreciate you completing your registration.) 3. Immunization Information--Is not necessary for your child to secure your slot but we wanted to make you aware of what is needed as we start school in the fall. See below about immunizations. 4. Review Open House Information--We shared lots of information at our Open House back in the winter. Click below for the powerpoint that answers lots of questions about the program and research supporting it. We look forward to all that is ahead. Also know that we hope to give you a time when you can bring your child to Cherry Park to visit and ask questions before school begins. (We hoped this could happen this spring but our plans obviously changed.) We hope you stay safe and well over these next few months.
