Selena Marie was born on July 22, 1992 in Grand Prairie, Texas to Mandy Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her first acting job was on the children's television show Barney and Friends in 2001. She then got signed to Disney, and guest starred in shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana. Her real fame started when she booked the Disney Channel television show called Wizards of Waverly Place as the role of Alex. Selena has since been in a number of movies including Another Cinderella Story, Princess Protection Program, Ramona and Beezus, Monte Carlo, and Spring Breakers. Selena is also heavily involved in the music industry. She recorded the theme song called "Magic" for her hit show, Wizards of Waverly Place, and has done numerous other little singing jobs for Disney as well. She and her then band, Selena Gomez and the Scene came out with 3 other albums called Kiss and Tell, A Year Without Rain, and When the Sun Goes Down. Selena then went solo and made an album called Stars Dance. She also has a greatest hits album called For You and her newest album that came out this October called Revival featuring hits like Good For You and Same Old Love.
Training/Education
Selena Gomez attended Danny Jones Middle School in Texas, and was homeschooled for high school. She actually graduated on the set of Monte Carlo, where her character was graduating also.
