Principal's Paragraphs
Dear Belair Families,
We are 43 days smarter! Congratulations to our award winners from the assembly this morning! It was a little wild at the end when I got slimed! Thank you for supporting PTA with the Run Like A Rock Star fundraiser!
Parent Teacher Conferences are coming up quickly! Monday, November 4 and Thursday, November 7 from 3:00-7:00 students have been scheduled for a conference. Our goal is 100% attendance! A note should have come home this week with your scheduled conference time. If that time does not work, please contact your child's teacher to reschedule.
Red Ribbon Week begins next week! This week is to encourage students to pledge to live a drug free life. Each day has a simple dress up theme. For Halloween, students are allowed to wear their costumes. No hair dye, face paint, masks, or other accessories.
We have awesome students in our building! We continue to encourage kindness to all. Ask your child two questions when they come home from school for the next month: Who were you kind to? Who was kind to you? Let's promote a kind school community.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Milhollin
Principal

Want to be a Watch D.O.G.S.?
If you are a father or father-figure, we want your help to make a positive impact. Consider joining the Watch D.O.G.S. team at Belair Elementary School.
What are Watch D.O.G.S.?
Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) is a family and community engagement program. Goal of the program is to demonstrate a positive male role model for students and help educators in a local school.
What will it involve? Volunteering some of your time during the school year. Goal is to find an event or day to volunteer in the school year, but you are more than welcome to volunteer as much as you want. Examples could include:
Help with activities and registration at Belair STEM and Literacy night events.
Supervise/encourage students at the Ninja Warrior Belair PTA fundraiser at Capitol Cheer.
Help with Belair field days or award assemblies.
Pick a normal school day and volunteer for a half or full day. During the day, you may read books to students, help with educational activities, play at recess and P.E, eat lunch with your child/their class, assist with traffic flow and any other activities where you actively engage with students.
