This Week at a Glance

Dear Parents,

With only one week left until the end of the second quarter, I want to take a moment to tell you how proud I am of all of your students for all of their hard work throughout this first half of the year! They are well on their way to becoming middle school leaders and learners! I also want to thank you for all the time and support you provide to our classroom, your students, and our learning community! LCE would not be the best place to be without you! I hope you have a wonderful break and get some well deserved time to relax and enjoy the holiday cheer with your families!

Thank you,

Miss Patito

Math and Science

This week in Math, we will have a test on Factors, Multiples and the Distributive Property on Wednesday. On Tuesday, we will review all the concepts and students will be given time in class to ask questions, and work through a study guide. They will need to finish their study guides at home, if they do in class, my initials will be on the top corner.

I will reserve time for them to ask any last minute questions before the test Wednesday.

In science, students are finishing up all labs and working on their Waves Web Quest in google class.

The labs that are due before break are:

Changing Potential Energy to Kinetic Energy - Roller Coaster Simulations

Kinetic and Potential Energy - The Marble Lab

3 Ways to Transfer Heat

Convection Currents (part 2)

Students have been informed of the labs they are missing- should they be unable to find any missing labs- please have them meet with me. Many have done so already.
