I Hope you guys had an awesome, relaxed, exciting, or restfull winter break!

Well now that we are in a new year and new semester lets face this new beginning afresh, eager, and with an opptimistic attitude!

Wise Words from Our Professors!

Starting off the semester we need to be revved up and ready! So for encouragement here is some wise advice from some of our professors.

Professor Onishi: AMT 20( Intro to Auto mechanics- Evening Classes)

-"If you work hard on what you do on becoming an auto technician you will get there! Trying your best and working hard is the best work ethic there is."

Professor Tanimoto: AMT 41 (Electrical II), AMT 46( Manual Drivetrain), AMT 50( Automatic Transmission)

-"Come to school everyday! Being in class is what takes 90% to pass."

Professor Tyau: AMT 20( Introduction into Auto Mechanics), AMT 40( Electrical I), AMT 53( Brakes)

-"Come to school on time!

Do the Work.

Try your hardest.

Try your best !

Ask Questions and we can help."

Professor Hirokawa: AMT 40D( Engine Performance), AMT 43( Heating & AC)

-"Work Hard.

Show up for class.

get enough sleep.

Eat your breakfast.

Be ready. That means for all kinds of things.

Being ready means by the time the clock hits 7am you are prepared to work or study."

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you the following FREE TO STUDENTS Academic Support Opportunities with you:

Writing Center - assistance available in person, on line via Skype or by phone. You may stop by the Writing Center on the 2nd floor of the Learning Commons, call 455-0409 or contact them at "writers@hawaii.edu".

Learning Resource Center - individual or small group tutoring tutoring available in over 30 content areas. You may stop by the Learning Resource Center on the 2nd floor of the Learning Commons or call 455-0412.

Math Lab - offers tutoring for MATH and QM course homework, loaning textbooks and calculators for same-day use, and providing computers and other learning tools. Stop by at Math Lab in BS 203 or call 455-0400.
