NURSE'S NOTES (REPEAT)
A student will be sent home from school when exhibiting any of the following symptoms:
- Fever of 100 degrees or higher
- Red eyes with thick whitish drainage
- Undiagnosed rash
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Severe cold symptoms (cough and congestion)
Parents should not allow their child to return to school until the child has been free of fever, vomiting, or diarrhea for a full 24 hours without medication.
Important note regarding Influenza: If the flu is physician diagnosed, students will be excluded from school for seven (7) days following onset of illness or duration of illness if the case is immune-compromised.
Anything over the counter like congestion medicine, Benadryl, or cough syrup will still need a doctor's order to be given at school. The note will still need student name, date, name of medication, dosage given at school, time of administration, route of administration and how long they will need to take this at school. Please do not send medication with your child to school without a doctors note.
EXTRA CLOTHING (REPEAT)
We have a small supply of extra boys pants in the nurse's office. In case of an accident, we will have to call parents to bring clean clothing.

Site Council
The Sunflower Site Council will be meeting at 6 pm in the library on the following dates: 9/17/19, 11/12/19, 2/11/20, 4/14/20.
All meetings are open to the public.
Kansas schools are required to establish site councils composed of the principal, teachers and other school personnel, parents, business representatives, and other community groups.
Site councils have a responsibility to provide advice and counsel in the following areas: evaluating district and school performance goals and objectives, determining methods to meet those goals and objectives, and other areas as requested by the board of education.
Remember, the work of the site council is advisory only; it makes recommendations, not decisions.
