Principal's Message

Dear Saints Families,

Here we go! The 2022-2023 school year begins tomorrow for faculty and staff as we gather at our annual retreat. Focusing on the WONDER of creation and our Creator, we will be prepared to meet our Saints on Wednesday. Also tomorrow evening, everyone is encouraged to experience the excitement of the Saints community with the Blue and Orange Game on campus. See details below. It's going to be a great year!

For a quick reference, note the following:

Wed. Aug. 17th - Student Orientation, Opening School Mass (Mass attire required)
Thurs. Aug. 18th - Student Orientation, Pep Rally
Fri. Aug. 19th- 8 period day. Students attend all classes.
**Wednesday and Thursday - Students will be dismissed at 2:20

Mon. Aug 22nd - 5:30 - Freshmen Parent Meeting, 6:30 - Soph/Jr. Parent Meeting
Mon. Aug. 29th - 5:30 - Senior Parent Meeting

Student Drop Off & Parking Pick-Up

Student Drop Off & Parking

Student drop off and parking will be the same as last year along 9th street making a right turn on Kirkman Street. Students should not arrive on campus before 7:15 when a duty teacher is present.

Drop off

Vehicles should travel west only, coming from Bank Street, and drop off students on the west end of 9th St.
Students are to stay in their vehicles until pulling into the semicircle for drop off.
After drop off, vehicles are to proceed to Kirkman for departure.

Student parking will be as follows:

Seniors- West end of the Kirkman and 7th St. parking lot.
Juniors- East end of same parking lot, and the remainder of the parking available on 7th.
Sophomores- Parking lot along Bank.
Any over flow will park along 9th by the concession stand

Pickup

For after school pickup, parents will follow the same route.

Student drop off and pickup will not be allowed in the teacher parking lot along Kirkman.

First Day of School Reminders- Wednesday, August 17

First Day of School Students need to report to their A period and bring their computer bag/backpack to school. Seniors with A period off need to check their email for instructions about reporting to campus on the first day of school.
Dress Code reminders – All students should follow hair regulations and other dress code policies. Refer to the student handbook for details.
Parking Tags- All student drivers must purchase a parking tag each year in the front office for $35. The deadline to purchase is August 25.
Lunch on campus – All students that eat the school lunches will now be charged through FACTS. You will receive a statement each month. Each lunch is $2.75. If approved for Free/Reduced lunch then it will be .40. There will be no free lunches this year unless your family is approved for DC. See the August menu by clicking here.
All families should complete the free/reduced lunch application even if your student will not eat a lunch. Please return to Dawn Mayo in the office or by email at dmayo@slchs.org. This allows us to earn free money! Thanks for your help!
Medication Form- Please complete if your student will be taking medication at school & return it to the front office.
Lifetouch will be taking yearbook pictures on Wednesday, August 17 & Thurs., August 18.
PE Uniforms- Uniforms will be discussed with students during orientation.

Students Schedules Now Available on FACTS

Schedules are now available for you to view on FACTS. Please review it before the first day of school. New students and parents must complete these steps to set up their FACTS account. The parent AND the student will each need to create an account. Please email mlejeune@slchs.org with any issues. If there is an issue with the schedule, please refer to the email that was sent out with the student's schedule.

Senior Off Period

All Seniors will need to complete this form with their parents in order to check out for off periods, starting Friday. Until this form is completed, you will not be able to check out.

Welcome New & Returning Saints Faculty & Staff

Joining the Saints Faculty for the 22-23 school year is Justin Sittig, Jillian Rodriguez, Ruth Blair, Jonta Jones, Emilee Papadimitriou, Max Dugan, and Kristine Alcantara. They participated in two days of training last week with Melanie Lejeune, Emily Pettaway, and department chairs, and they are eager to work with our students and staff.

Countdown to Kick Off Blue & Orange Game

The annual Blue and Orange game will be held on Friday, August 12th! Come experience all that Friday nights under the lights has to offer including pregame and halftime performances by the Sweethearts and the Cheer Squad! Stay for the Countdown to Kickoff Event.

Kickoff: 6:00pm

Location: St. Louis Catholic HS Campus

Admission: $5 entry fee. SLCHS faculty and students, along with children under 5 are free.

If you would like to have a reserved table with some additional perks, see the attached flyer and reserve your table as soon as possible! There are only 40 tables available.
