Jump Rope for Heart and Family Fitness Night

Jump Rope For Heart will be Wednesday, November, 18. All special area classes (this includes art and music) will meet in gym for their special area time.

That evening, from 5:30 to 6:30 is Family Fitness Night and Jump Rope for Heart Kickoff.

Please join us Wednesday November 18th for our semi-annual Family Fitness Night starting in the Doss cafeteria (this is a location change from previously announced). Parents can experience PE at Doss first hand at this fun and free night for the whole family. This event will also be the kick off for our “Jump Rope for Heart” campaign benefiting the American Heart Association.

Please No Posting on Walls

We no longer can tape anything to our newly painted walls. Even the blue painters tape is removing the new paint and revealing the old colors. Please post fliers, memos, artwork, and all other items to our many doors, windows, and bulletin boards. Please do not use any tape on any painted surfaces.

Should you discover an area that needs a repaint, please notify Eva Castro for a work order.

Counselor's Notes

A note on the college and careers- We will be addressing this subject later in the year and not this month.

Your counselors are sending/have sent you a couple of important emails this week. Please take the time to respond as soon as possible:

  • Please reply to the email regarding "at-risk" students for our crisis team. Email will go in to further detail
  • Please complete online survey regarding group counseling
  • Please email Shanna with a list of students that may be in need of new or used clothing. We have a good amount here to give now, but can also take a group of students to Operation School Bell for new clothing.
