The event encourages healthy competition between Central Coast high schools.

The Soledad Unified Education Foundation (SEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization who is devoted to making a difference within Soledad’s Community through Education. Our organization makes a difference by providing funding to students, teachers, student organizations and schools to enhance education outcomes, and promote Soledad Unified School District's mission of "Every student, every day". We ask that you support our cause by helping us raise our goal of $35,000 through our SEF Carnival, scheduled to start on March 12-15, 2020. Proceeds from our SEF Carnival go directly to fund student scholarships and grants requested by Soledad students, student organizations, teachers, and schools. Please note that no administrative cost is kept by SEF, 100% of the profits go back to the community. SEF Carnival rides are provided by Butler Amusements (https://butleramusements.com/), the same organization that provide carnival rides at Salinas Valley Fair.  Ride wristband tickets can be used at any Butler Amusements events should you want to buy extra tickets, or are unable to use them at our event.   Please join us in supporting our community, and enjoy our SEF Carnival!   La Fundación de Educación Unificada de Soledad (SEF) es una organización sin fines de lucro 501 (c) (3) que se dedica a hacer una diferencia dentro de la Comunidad de Soledad a través de la Educación. Nuestra organización hace la diferencia al proporcionar fondos a estudiantes, maestros, organizaciones estudiantiles y escuelas para mejorar los resultados educativos y promover la misión del Distrito Escolar Unificado Soledad de "Empoderar y motivar a cada estudiante, todos los días".
