Famous Canadian Challenge Completed!
Each morning a picture was hidden in the hallway for students to find. They had to figure out who the person was and why they were famous. It was a lot of fun to learn about these amazing people!
Below is a photo of Ms. Norman's class's results! Well done, Falcons! Ms. Doherty and Ms. Scott's classes were VERY involved in this challenge, too! Ask your children what they learned!
Pink Shirt Day! We spread kindness eveywhere...
Does the Easter Bunny come to your house? Do you like fudge?
Our School Council is selling fudge from O'Mally Kourt Fudgery! This is a small company from Brockville that helps schools raise money. Orders need to be placed by Thursday, March 9th and pick up is the day before the Easter long weekend... just in time for the Easter Bunny!
Paper copies of the order form were sent home this week or you can go onto http://school-day.com to order.
Parent Workshop Wednesday, March 29
Has your child been bullied? Does your child talk about conflicts at school with their friends? This interactive presentation is for you!
We are bringing in the company BRAVE EDUCATION from Toronto for this presentation. You will learn prevention strategies, communication skills and much more.
There will be food provided and it will be a fun evening with our whole school community.
See you on March 29th!
A few shots of our basketball teams...
WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
Officer Punctuation Police Duncan
Officer P. P. Duncan was here from the English Police department. She went from class to class checking for spaces between words, punctuation and capital letters in appropriate places! She handed out tickets to students if they made an error but she also rewarded students who had amazing writing samples!
Officer Duncan was thrilled with what she saw! She said our students were incredible! Below, is a photo of Officer P. P. Duncan in Ms. Chatterson's class! There was some confusion in the school about how much Officer Duncan looked like Principal Duncan!
Students have already asked if we can invite P. P. back to the school in the future! We have reached out to see if she is free in the spring! ;)
Water Bottles
We have been handing out a lot of plastic cups to students who have forgotten a water bottle. Let's try to save our environment one cup at a time!
