CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspectors 15th & 16th July 2013

This course is intended for persons responsible for inspecting and checking scaffolds for safe use and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory regulations.

The overall aim is to develop in trainees an understanding of scaffold components, forms of construction and inspection procedures of basic access scaffolds and to comply with current legislation and Codes of Practice.

Course Prerequisites

We would expect candidates to have some awareness and experience of scaffolding structures, which would have come from their time in their individual industry sector e.g. construction, engineering, manufacturing, offshore etc.

This experience may be required to be confirmed by the production of a CV with contactable references.

Each candidate must supply prior to the course one of the following, these must have been taken within the last 2 years, if these are not provided candidates will not be allowed to attend.

  • Construction Skills Health & Safety Touch Screen Test
  • 1 Day Health & Safety Awareness Course
  • CCNSG Safety Passport
  • NEBOSH Construction
  • Offshore Survival Certificates
  • FAS Safe Pass

  • Construction Regulations and Recommendations of Basic Scaffolds
  • Practical Inspection

Competence is measured by multi choice examination and practical scaffold inspection examination. CISRS Certification of training upon completion of course and successful completion of both examinations.
