  • April 20-24: Reset your NCID Password (Expect email from Elfredia Lennon or Sherri Thomas to reset your password)
  • April 20- HBOB will meet on Washington Street Room 104

  • April 24 -4:15 pm at the Faculty Center at UNC-G Special 1-hour workshop with poets Travis Denton and Katie Chaple

  • April 23 Mentor Mentee Meeting INVENTORY TRAINING 4:00- 6:00 Wash. St. Rm 300 anyone needing a refresher is welcome to attend.

  • April 25- GCS Global Education Conference

  • May 19- CIPA Due for High Schools

  • May 25- Memorial Day Holiday

  • May 26-29- NCID password reset will be sent to principals

  • June 2- AMTR & All forms and reports due online
    (Refer to your End-of-year checklist)

  • June 5- Principal Sign off on AMTR

  • June 16-Last day for students
  • June --- End of Year Preview Party Dates to be determined
  • June 30- Finalize All Inventories

For National Library week, School Library Month & National Poetry Month we have several things scheduled at our School Board Meetings. Please mark your calendars and do your best to attend to support our media specialists and show the Board of Education that we make a difference in the lives of our GCS students.

April 30th:

- Media Specialist of the Year is recognized

- Poet Laureate's are recognized

May 12th:

- Battle of the Books winners are recognized.

4th Annual GCS Global Education Conference: Global Teaching, Global Learning

Don’t miss it!!!!!

NCEES Standards will be specifically addressed while learning practical tools to help your students see the world.

Attendees earn 0.5 CEUs, applicable to the required PD for the Global Educator Digital Badge.

· When and where?: April 25th, 2015-Page High School- 8:00am to 1:30pm

The elementary, middle and high schools with the highest participation of educators receive a Certificate of Recognition of Commitment to Global Education. Last year’s winners were Brooks Global, Lincoln Middle and Dudley High School.
