Harvest Elementary School Newsletter
May 23rd-27th
Harvest Family,
Its hard to believe that Tuesday is our last day of school. We have had a great year this year and I am sad to see the kids go for the summer. Our last school day is tomorrow, Tuesday. Dismissal is at 1pm.
As you know, we received the Pre-K grant for the 2016-2017 school year. We are ready for the Pre-K registration! Please come to Harvest Elementary school from now through June 17th. If you register following the 17th, you will be placed on a waiting list. Harvest will be accepting registrations between the hours of 8am- 3pm Monday - Thursday and we will have 17 spots for the Fall. All students will be chosen from a random drawing on June 17th at 10am in our cafeteria and you do not have to be present to be chosen. The Pre-K school day will be from 7:45am -2:30pm. During the school year, bus service to school and home will be available to all Pre-k students.
To complete the Pre-K registration the following is required: Proof of residence in Harvest's school zone , child's birth certificate, current blue immunization card, social security card and completed enrollment form (form is located at Harvest Elementary school.)
This summer, remember to read everyday! (20 minutes a day is suggested). Doing Math facts a few times a week will also help your child/ren to maintain what they have learned in Math this year. Also, remember to have lots of fun! I hope everyone has a blessed summer!
It has been an honor and a privilege to serve the Harvest community as the Principal at Harvest for the last 2 years. Thank you for all your support and kindness. I wish the best to you and your child/ren in the years to come. - Mr. Chapman

Playground Process Update:
We have begun to look for financial support for the new playground. If you are interested in helping raise money, would like to donate to or have any great ideas to help make the playground a reality for Harvest, please contact the school. The administration at Harvest has begun to look for grants to help fund the playground. Once money has been secured, the playground construction will go through Central Office approval to begin work.
