LIM Rocks
We have directions and information for the rock. The purpose of creating this community project is to have each student leave a "footprint" in the school. The positive message in the final pages of the book Only One You is "There is only one you in this great, big world...make it a better place." All the students from grades K-5 were read the book. Each student can paint their own "fish" rock with their own colors and patterns. I have attached two other books about rocks.
Parent Pickup & Drop Off
Please do not pull out of the lane and go around the other traffic as it creates an unsafe environment. Please do not park in the area of the student's crossing on the sidewalk in front of the building. We have been having some close calls for our students that walk and ride bikes across in the afternoon time. I want to make sure our students and staff are safe during this time, and we do not have an incident.

5th Grade Music Concert Reminders
As you are all aware, we are just under a few weeks away from our upcoming 5th grade concert! We have been working very hard in music class to prepare for Native American Heritage Music and we are so excited to show you on Friday, November 8th at 6 pm. Below is information you will need to know about arrival, dress, and what to expect.
What to Wear: Black Homecoming Shirt (every student should have received one of these from the school during homecoming week, if not, contact me and we will make sure your student has one), nice jeans (no rips, holes or fades), and nice shoes (no rips, holes or dirt. These can be tennis shoes or any other closed toed shoes that are not faded or worn out). If you need any help at all obtaining these items, please don’t hesitate to email me. I would be more than happy to help to help provide any of these items for our concert.
When to Arrive: Students need to be in the music room by 5:40 pm. Front doors/Cafeteria doors will open right at 5:40, please arrive just a bit before 5:40 to ensure that students will be on time.
What to expect: A wonderful student led concert with songs, games, dances, and instruments to be performed around 30 minutes. There will be opportunities for pictures and recordings, however flash photography will not be allowed.
To ensure for our best performance, all students are required to attend and perform in this concert unless in emergent/uncontrollable situations. We have practiced all together and many students have a leadership role in our performance. If your student is unable to make the performance due to an emergent/uncontrollable situation, please email me as soon as you are able so that we can plan accordingly. Thank you for your consideration of this.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact me via email at kdingman@knobnoster.k12.mo.us. Thank you for your continued support of the Music Program at Whiteman Elementary and we will see you on November 8th!
Respectfully,
Kelsey Dingman
