WMS Family Update
May 21, 2021
Good morning Wamsutta Families,
There were no positive pools this week, and hopefully we see this turn into a trend and can put some of our pandemic worries behind us.
I have important information below about transportation, free and reduced lunch (which has implications for when you sign up for transportation in summer), a yearbook update, and a notice for an ELPAC meeting.
Thank you as always for your time.
Joseph Connor, WMS
Principal
Free and Reduced Lunch
All students enrolled in Attleboro Public Schools will continue to receive free meals through June 2022 regardless of eligibility status. However, families are required to submit updated free/reduced lunch applications annually. Though students will continue to receive free meals, an application must be submitted each school year to qualify for additional support. The lunch application can be found HERE and can be completed until May 31, 2021 for the current school year.
Fee For Service Transportation
Our website for Fee for Service for the 2021-2022 SY has been updated. The below information for Fee for Service 21-22 can also be found under the “For Families” Tab (Transportation-FFS).
Yearbook - Time is Running Out
Yearbooks will continue to be available online at jostens.com for $15 until 5/31. After that the price increases to $20 and are available through Mr. Duquette or Mrs. Medeiros until sold out.
English Learners Parent Advisory Council Meeting Next Tuesday
The English Learners Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC) will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 4:30pm. This meeting is for all families of English learners within the Attleboro Public Schools. Join us as we share important information about the end of the school year and summer programs!
Here are the ELPAC flyers with more information.
Second Notice: Food Drive
We will accept donations until Friday, May 28.
Second Notice: SNAP Gap Survey
Attleboro Public Schools (APS) and the Shah Foundation are looking for feedback from parents and caregivers in our school district about help available to families during the COVID-19 pandemic. This feedback will help community partners, schools and state agencies communicate to families about help available to them.
At the end of the survey, you will have a chance to enter a raffle where you could win one of four $50 gift cards!
The survey should take 5-10 minutes to complete. Your answers will be kept anonymous and will not be used to identify you personally in any way.
