MPE Weekly Roar
November 3, 2021
Pajama Day is on Friday, November 12 . Bring your favorite small blanket and stuffed animal. We will celebrate the National Day of Kindness and get excited about our Pajama Collection to help those in need.
A Message From Principal Dolan
Good afternoon MPE Families,
As we enter November, the month we focus on gratitude, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for sharing your children with us. We take this responsibility seriously and are committed to creating a school community where all are valued and embraced. Thank you for echoing the same messages at home. It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our Halloween Parade.
Each day on the morning announcements we do a mindful moment, positive affirmations and reminders about respecting yourself, others and our school. We celebrate acts of kindness with our Caught Being Kind Certificates. Teachers are giving these certificates to children who are kind to others at MPE. November 13th is World Kindness Day. We have an assembly and pajama day planned for November 12th. Remind your child to bring his or her favorite stuffed animal and small blankie!
We will have a Pajama Day on November 12th!
Special thank you: Thank you to the MPE PTA for providing snacks for our faculty and staff on November 1! We are so thankful to you for all you do for us. We are working together to make sure all of our children are learning and growing and becoming their best selves. The exciting BMX assembly was also made possible because of our generous PTA.Thank you to our parents who came to school this week to teach our children about Diwali. Thank you for sending in your extra Halloween candy. The PTA will donate it to the LNHN and Newark Partners.
If you would like to volunteer in the media center, please email the MPE PTA.
Enjoy the long weekend, make special memories and cherish the time with your family.
MPE is participating in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive beginning November 9th
What is the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive?
The pajama drive is a philanthropic classroom program offered through Scholastic Book Clubs that aims to teach kids the value of giving and the power of reading. The annual Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive is the largest pajama drive in Pajama Program’s history.
For every pair of new pajamas donated, Scholastic Book Clubs will donate a brand-new book to the Pajama Program to give to a child facing adversity. We will collect new children's pajamas from November 9th - 19th.
Be on the look out for more information to be sent home with your child next week.
