His talent was unlike Michael Jordan’s or LeBron James’. He was in fact the best rebounder at the time he was playing. He averaged 13.1 rebounds per game. His best was 18.7 per game. In season 1991-1992 he made 1530 rebounds.
Childhood
Dennis Rodman was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He had 2 sisters who were better than him at basketball. He still wanted to play basketball. In high school he was only 5'7". In college he tried out for a basketball team and failed. Then he tried out for a football team and also failed. So he went to a new college in Gainesville, Texas. In the new college college he made astonishingly 25.7 points and 15.7 rebounds in his best game in college.
Basketball Career
Dennis Rodman got into Basketball when the Detroit Pistons picked him in the 1986 draft. Here are the teams he played for: San Antonio Spurs,Los Angeles Lakers , Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls. He was one of the only people that could defend Shaquille O’ Neal one-on-one. Even though Shaquille O'Neal was about 100lbs heavier than Rodman.
Why Did He Stop Playing?
Dennis Rodman sadly does not play anymore. He stopped playing because he got too old. Most basketball players do not play beyond 40-50 years old.
