WW2 Relics

A Blast From The Past

Back then & Now

Back then the WW2 relics weren't relics, they were in action on the battlefields in war vehicles and on troops. Now they are in war museums, too damaged to restore or just plain lost, some people find relics for a job or just for fun! These relics range from canteens to battleships.

The War

World War II (WWII or WW2) was a war that lasted from 1939 to 1945, though related conflicts began earlier. It involved most of the world eventually forming two opposing alliances It was the most widespread war in history, and involved more than 100 million people from over 30 countries. The major participants threw their entire economy into war efforts erasing the line between civilian and military resources. Marked by mass deaths of civilians, including the Holocaust (during which approximately 11 million people were killed) and the strategic bombing of industrial and population centres (during which approximately one million people were killed, including the use of two nuclear weapons in combat), it resulted in an estimated 50 million to 85 million fatalities. These made World War II the deadliest conflict in human history (Wikipedia)

The comparisons are: they both played a role in history either way. They are also similar because they both have unique things about their time period.

The differences are: the state they are in and the amount of use they have left
