Scholar Spotlight

Antywon D. (Ludy Class) and Kamara Giddens (Holloway Class) have been selected as our exceptional scholars for the week. They were selected by their teachers for having exceptional work ethic and character. As scholars of the week, they have been on the morning announcements all week. Every week we will select two fifth or fourth grade students as our scholars of the week.

Counselor Corner

I have loved visiting classrooms this week and getting to meet the students! I will be making my way to each classroom by the end of the month. Students will learn how to come see me and the different services I provide. I’m looking forward to a great year with our wonderful scholars!

This week students have been learning how to be respectful by learning to treat others how they want to be treated. Our eagles have been challenged to show respect by walking quietly to the classrooms and being good listeners when other eagles are talking. Please help us by discussing how they can show respect in school with your students. At the end of the month each teacher will choose a students that has exhibited the character trait to be honored as “Eagle of the Month”!

Ice Cream Sales

Beginning the week of September 4, 2017, we are going to start selling ice cream for the students. The ice cream is sold on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. Students will bring in $1.00. You will then select the students name, and put their money in the ice cream bag that will be provided. You will then have a student bring the bag to the front office. When the students arrive to lunch, they will open the freezer in the cafeteria and grab their classes ice cream and pass them out. This is going to be great for the students.
