We are rocketing through these days! Wow! The kids were so perfect at the park and the movies. It was a pleasure to be with them and get to really enjoy our time. Thank you for all your help making it a success. It was fun to see so many of you meet us and spend time with us.
Our schedule for Friday will be quite different from normal. Lakeland Elemetary will be bringing 8 classes of 2nd graders to spend the day with us. They will all be dressed in character as well. We will be visited by a story teller, see a theater group from FMHS, have buddy reading with 3rd grade, a cook out and picnic, bounce houses and more. If you can donate bubbles or side walk chalk for us to use at recess, please drop it off at the school and Mrs. Jones will put it to good use. We will be using 4 extra classrooms and setting them up with our own as stations. I could possibly use a few extra sets of hands that day but I am not sure yet. It would just be to be in one of the extra classrooms and help the kids complete the craft activity in there. I will let you know if we will need help.
Look for the field trip information on the zoo soon. We will try to keep the cost as low as possible so we are working on how to pay for the buses. I will probably take 4-5 chaperones on the bus (not sure yet) and then anyone that would like to join us can meet us there. If you meet us there, you will be walking the zoo with your child AND their small group with their chaperone. All children must ride the bus to and from the zoo in order to be counted present that day.
It is going to be a busy week! Have a good one!

WHAT WE'VE BEEN LEARNING
Math-We are almost done with fractions. I will be sending home a math workbook this week that has review activities for all of the math topics we study all year. Please use it how you see fit. Keep up the Reflex Math and memorizing those facts!
Science-We are just about done with plants. We learned about pollination, soil/minerals and all kinds of other fun things.
