We are looking forward to having students back at our facilities to see all that's new!
West Campus Strength Facility improvements
The West Campus strength room was expanded over the summer to accommodate additional students when West Campus becomes the grade 10-12 building.
Two more half racks and Olympic platforms were added. The dumbbells were moved to East Campus weight room for the new Introduction to strength (Freshman Campus) next year.
And a full set of INTEK dumbbells were purchased to service West Campus. The existing racks were connected together to create additional work stations (Including TRX systems). Five reverse hyper stations were added and one more lat pull/low row combo.
The most exciting addition was the installation of the 1,600+ square feet of indoor training turf in an existing walkway. This new area will create so many more safe training options for our athletes.
A huge thanks goes to Total Strength & Speed for their excellent work on the project.
East Campus entryway improvements
The project is expected to finish soon.
West Campus interior improvements
The project also includes new HVAC chillers and a new building automation system. And for the first time, Buckner Gym has air conditioning.
Workers have also been busy with moving the Lil' Warriors preschool room to make way to the building extension.
McCracken Field improvements
Other improvements at McCracken include four new energy efficient stadium light poles to replace eight older lights, and new drain tiles to prevent water ponding.
It looks great!
New tennis courts
Workers recently finished fencing and painting of the courts, and completed new walkways.
Nets are up and the courts are ready for use!
