All students are in the classroom on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesdays are eLearning. Please be sure your student is answering the attendance question and completing their work to be counted as present on eLearning days. The USDA announced they are funding breakfast and lunch for ALL students through May. Therefore, breakfast and lunch is provided free of charge the remainder of this year.

Student Enrollment 2021-22

We are so excited to be your school of choice for the 2021-22 school year. As you can see by the pictures below, our new STEM addition will be up and running next year and it will be filled with lots of learning, lots of discovery, and lots of fun! In our classrooms, we strive for the love of learning to be the key to success. We want every student to feel safe, cared about, and excited when they come to school each day!

Students currently enrolled are automatically enrolled for next year. You do not have to fill out any further enrollment forms. Existing 4th grade students will automatically be enrolled into Bell Intermediate Academy. If you have plans to change schools, please contact us as soon as possible!

We are looking forward to a fun-tastic school year!

We are also accepting new students in all grades.

Pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before October 1, 2021.

Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before October 1, 2021.

Important Upcoming Dates!


Third grade students across the state will participate in IREAD-3. Testing is scheduled for March 8-19. Based on the Indiana Academic Standards, IREAD-3 specifically tests foundational reading standards through grade three.


Third and fourth grade students across the state will participate in ILEARN this semester. Testing is scheduled for April 19 - May 14. ILEARN is Indiana's online computer- adaptive assessment designed to measure your child's proficiency of the Indiana Academic Standards.

Please avoid scheduling appointments because good attendance is very important during the testing window.

Spelling Bee Champs

Students recently participated in the annual Brooklyn STEM Academy Spelling Bee. Hope Gunn was our Champion and Tommy Thompson is our runner-up. Hope will represent Brooklyn in the Regional Spelling Bee. Good luck Hope!

School Wide Title 1

Funding has been made available through School Wide Title 1 Services to Brooklyn Elementary for the purpose of providing students with extra support in reading/language arts and math. This extra support is available for all students at Brooklyn Elementary. Classroom teachers, Title 1 Teachers and instructional aides provide assistance through small group and individualized instruction as children demonstrate a need for support. Please contact your teacher about services your child may receive.
