Empathy Month At Lee
This month at Lee, we are learning all about empathy. Empathy is defined as: being able to understand how someone else is feeling, even when you aren't in the same situation. We've been exploring this topic using two steps: 1) Connecting with how the other person is feeling 2) How can I show them that I care. Join us by talking about empathy with your children at home!

Box Tops Receipts
Did you know that you can earn money for Lee simply scanning your grocery receipt? It takes just a few seconds, is easy, and free! We currently have 22 Box Tops supporters. Let's try to hit 30! Simply download the Box Tops app on your phone and scan your grocery receipt after shopping. It's that easy! For help, go to our Philander Lee PTO facebook page to find a recent post containing a how-to video.
Jogathon 2022
We are very excited to announce that the Lee Rockin' Jogathon will be held on Thursday, May 19! Information will be sent home with students this Friday!
•The Jogathon is our spring fundraising event used to raise money for Lee!
•Students will jog, walk, and run around Ackerman track to raise money for field trips, classroom technology, special school events, and further development of the outdoor learning center! Our school wide Jogathon goal this year is to raise $5000.
This year, in addition to in-person pledges, we are also using an online fundraising system. To register your child, go to https://pledgestar.com/lee97013/ and follow the steps! The online pledge site is easy to use and is a great way to quickly reach many friends and family!
Individual and class prizes will be earned for participation and for reaching specific donation levels. Prize details can be found in the packet coming home on Friday or at the online pledge site https://pledgestar.com/lee97013/ .
Reach out to your child's teacher if you would like to volunteer to help at the Jogathon on May 19.
