A Message From Dr. Ricks

Parents and Friends,

What a terrific semester it has been! I loved seeing so many of you at last night's Christmas program, and today as we prepared for our vacation. Many, many thanks to those of you who have helped with class parties, field trips, and organizing teacher appreciation goodies. I always tell people that one of our greatest strengths is the dedicated, amazing force that is the GES parent support system. Your children are simply wonderful, and we thank you for entrusting their daily education and well-being to us. This week, the halls have buzzed with excited students and gracious teachers, and classrooms are dressed in all their holiday glory. 2015 was an excellent year, and 2016 is shaping up to be even better. Have a safe and blessed holiday season!

Warmly,

Dr. Beth J. Ricks

Athletic News

Athletic Department News

We had a great Booster club Mix and Mingle Jingle party on Monday. Thanks to Heidi Stoor for organizing and Stephen Walker at Portico's for hosting the event. Special thanks to Read Eye Center and Riddle Builders for sponsoring.

We have several great Booster events planned for the Spring semester so mark your calendars!

Jan 22 Family Basketball Night. Games, raffles, prizes, burgers, hot dogs, drinks and fun.

Feb 14 Baseball/Softball Bunt-a-Thon We have 70 baseball and softball players currently on rosters at GES. Each player will raise money for 100 pitched balls that they will bunt. This will be their fee paid for the season. It will be a great way to raise funds and also help them improve a basic baseball/softball skill. We will also have food and drinks and music and fellowship so bring the whole family and cheer on your bunter.

April 21 GES Booster Club Garden District Dash 1 mile fun run and 5K

This event will take place in the Garden District and end at GES with music, food, drinks and fun for all.

We want to wish the GES family a safe, healthy and restful Holiday Season. God Bless and we will see you in 2016.

Parent Prayer Group

The parents of Grace Episcopal School are invited to join a Parent Prayer Group beginning in January. All are welcome and we will lift our students, children, and others in prayer. Parents plan to meet the second Friday of each month and will gather in the Children's Chapel at 8am. Prayer meetings will last 30 minutes. Prayer request boxes will be placed in the cafeteria, middle school commons, and chapel. For more information, please contact Tiffany Huffer.
