Principals at the Summit
Last Friday, January 17th, all principals gave a comprehensive presentation about their school. They shared their strengths, problem of practice, academic test scores, programs that are currently being implemented for students and families, parent involvement, areas of improvement and their goals for this school year.

On Friday, January 17th, Pinnacle teachers and district personnel worked collaboratively on areas of improvement as they prepare for their Western Accreditation of Schools and Colleges (WASC) visit coming next year.
Students At Main Middle School Learning How To Navigate Their New Library
The media specialist Cynthia Pulido teaching and explaining to students library expectations and how they can access information for learning from their newly built library, which opened this school year.
School Climate Transformation Leadership Meeting At MCOE
Community Engagement Committee pilot-tested a "Welcoming Environment" training using the Fish model philosophy from the Pike's Fish Market in Seattle, which will be rolled out at the ISF schools in the coming months. Participants at this meeting practiced this activity and found value in its potential positive impact on students and staff. The committee is planning to make this as interactive as possible so that participants will take it back and integrate positive changes at the schools.
