WLHS Stay Connected
November 2020
November is...National Gratitude Month!
What are you grateful for?
Mrs. Olson
Ms. Halverson
Mr. Bean
I'm grateful for my old dog Lucca. After a long day, he reminds me to appreciate the little things in life. A belly scratch, a snack and a nap can be pretty amazing.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to improve lives, strengthen communities and advance equity by mobilizing the caring power of people across our metro area.
VISION STATEMENT
We believe that doing good transforms our community and each of us individually. This belief comes alive when we connect volunteers with meaningful ways to help.
What does that look like? You decide.

Lines for Life
Here are some other things that Lines for Life provides:
Suicide Prevention Hotline: Lines for Life Crisis Line Volunteers answer calls to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Hopeline Network, and Portland Lifeline. These confidential, 24-hour services field thousands of calls each year.
Alcohol and Drug Helpline: A confidential 24-hour crisis and referral line, responding to individuals and family members seeking crisis intervention, support, treatment referrals, and general chemical dependency information.
Military Helpline: This hotline provides emotional support and crisis intervention, as well as resource and referral services for members of all branches of the military, veterans of all eras, and their family members.
Racial Equity Support Line: The Racial Equity Support Line is a service led and staffed by people with lived experience of racism. We offer support to those who are feeling the emotional impacts of racist violence and microaggressions, as well as the emotional impacts of immigration struggles and other cross-cultural issues.
Senior Loneliness Line: Our newest line is a partnership between Lines for Life and Clackamas County. Our volunteers create a safety net by offering an informed, compassionate response to callers ages 55+ experiencing loneliness, isolation, depression, anxiety, or other concerns.
YouthLine: Our YouthLine is answered by peers under the age of 21 from 4pm-10pm daily. Our adult volunteers take YouthLine calls during the hours when peers are not available.
