The last day for LL Delivery before intersession/Spring Break is Wednesday, March 12. MNPS Delivery may still deliver bags during the two weeks off, but those items will be dated as if they are arriving at schools on March 31. Regular delivery will resume on Monday, March 31.
Last call for book requests!
HMH Think Central - Journeys
Think Central website: https://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/ePC/login.do
Select “Tennessee”, “Metro Nashville….” and your school and enter your credentials.
Please go ahead and try logging in before Spring Break and take a look around. Your username should already have been emailed to you, but if you don't have it just let me know and I can look it up. In most cases the username is the first letter of your first name, and then your last name. Passwords are simply "Password" unless you have already logged in and changed it.
Check out mnps.idlearningtech.org for more information.

The Dewey Club
Congratulations to the first two members of the Dewey Club! They are pictured below, along with a drawing of Mr. Dewey himself.
Please tell your class about the Dewey Club. Any interested students can pick up a booklet any time they come to the library to check out books.
Faculty Lending Library
With Spring Break coming up, I just wanted to remind everyone about the Lending Library for teachers and staff. If you need something new to read over the break, come and check it out!
Here is the original message from the beginning of the year:
"If we want to promote a strong foundation in literacy for our students, we need to be readers ourselves, right? Welcome to the Faculty Lending Library!
Finished your current novel? Need a new book to read? Take a book from our Lending Library! Have a book you no longer want or need? Didn't like a particular title? Donate it to our Library... someone else might enjoy it!
This will operate as an informal lending library for FUN reading. This is separate from our Professional Collection housed in the Library Conference Room. Any books - novels, nonfiction, profession, fun - are welcome. Anyone who works at Glenview is invited to check back often. Take a book anytime you need one, leave a book when you no longer want it. You can borrow a book and return the same one, or if you really liked it, keep it and return a different one you have!
No check out is needed, and no system will be used to keep track of books other than the honor system. The books will be housed in the upper cabinets in the library office/workroom. Enjoy!"
Reading Bingo folders and information will be in your mailbox on Monday. Please tell your students about it!
Wonderful Website: 47 Alternatives to Using YouTube from Free Tech for Teachers
Free Technology for Teachers is a great blog written by Richard Byrne. This post lists many alternatives to YouTube, along with a short description. This is a helpful resource if you are looking for a short video or clip to illustrate an idea for your visual learners.
