Social Studies: We are moving through the Age of Exploration. Please look for your child's notebook to come home each day for reviewing the day's learning. Our test will be next Thursday, and the notebooks will be due on Tuesday, January 5th
Reading: Book Clubs are in full force. As you know, I've changed the writing expectation. The children should be recording their thinking and talking points in their journal after reading their assigned chapter(s). Their responses to the writing prompts on the labels I provide will be written in class. The goal is to finish their book by next Thursday.
Science Fair Projects: Everyone should have their question approved and the beginning of their project planned. I have set deadlines to keep the children moving on this assignment, but they are welcome to move faster. I only ask that they complete the project plan sheet and let me look over it before they start the experiment. Please utilize the beginning portion of the packet to aid the planning process...
Completed Science Fair projects are due Thursday, January 7th.
In Math, I could not be happier with the children's effort and perseverence on yesterday's MAP testing. Everyone grew..and many grew in a BIG way!! This is truly a testament to the children's effort. I am one proud teacher!!!!!! :-)
