Note from Interim Principal Mrs. Smetzer!
Huge accolades to everyone who made Trivia Night such a success on Saturday. Mr. Appling's trivia questions were engaging, and the PTA clearly put in so much time and effort to make every detail contribute to the overall evening. Thank you for attending and for bidding on silent auction items. Some very lucky winners will be spending extra time with our teachers and staff who donated time and experiences. And if you were not able to join us this weekend, we have more evening event opportunities coming up over the course of the next few weeks.
Tardies were at an all-time low today! Thank you for continuing to get your kiddos to school on time. It makes such a difference with their readiness for the day.

District Parent Council Opportunity
Are you interested in being involved with what is happening in BVSD?
The next meeting is March 8th.
District Parent Council is composed of 1 representative from each school in BVSD. We come together once per month to discuss issues we face within our schools and across the district as a whole. Past topics have included school security, universal preschool, budget planning, Grad Plus, and information technology. For more information, send an email to our co-chairs (Gena.Welk@gmail.com, Alexa.Rivera@bvsd.org) or see our BVSD webpage.
Solar System STEAM Night
Ryan families are invited to have fun exploring the many worlds of our solar system. Learn about the Sun and how its ocean of solar wind plasma flows through the solar system. Learn about NASA's robotic explorers and the amazing worlds they have discovered. Use your art, engineering, and life science skills to picture how life might adapt to worlds beyond Earth, create your own planetary magnetic shield, and design future robotic explorers. Parents and students are invited to come have fun learning about our solar system!
Attendees will be treated to pizza. Please RSVP here by the end of day THIS Friday, March 10, to ensure we have adequate supplies and pizza. This event is brought to you by the Ryan Elementary PTA!
Spring 2023 Noetic Learning Math Contest!
Please click here to register your student to participate. Sign-up deadline is March 24th.

Dining Night Out
Our next Dining Night Out will be at Ruby Ru's Street Eatery (1280 Centaur Village Dr., Lafayette) on Wednesday, March 22, from 4-8pm!
Ruby Ru's will be donating 10% of ALL sales that evening to Ryan—no need to show a flyer or mention Ryan! Owner Chris Rubeck attended Ryan when he was a kid, so this is a great opportunity to support a local business with connections to Ryan. Tell your friends! Take a night off from cooking while supporting Ryan!
